At 4:43 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 I was walking outdoors on my return trip from an after midnight stroll after having been awakened by a bad dream, and the birds were performing most beautifully. As time passed and it got to be 5:06 a.m. the concert got louder and more pleasant. I had this thought ... "Wow, I have been living in the middle of an unofficial state park!" Now it's 5:49 a.m. and there are still all kinds of birds singing their song and making their own distinct and unique bird sounds. With the sun slowly rising and daybreak on its way, I can't help feeling so happy that I was given this upstairs north side apartment with a wooded area directly behind that seems to never fail to be filled with the sounds of morning, as well as, brimming with all the typical night sounds on a daily basis.
At around 6:00 a.m. I was still able to see the moon in the sky, but, with the sun ever so subtly making it's way out into the open I knew that before long the lesser star would vanish and the greater star would dominate. Now it's practically daylight outside my window. What a great experience it was for me to have gone out walking at 2:30 a.m. today! :-)
